Last fall, JenTekk responded to an RFP from the BC Ministry of Health, to assist with the further development of the Western and Northern Health Human Resources and Planning Forum initiative.

This initiative had four existing web sites running Joomla CMS 1.5 and extensions, and they required an additional three websites to support their goals:
“where western provincial and northern territorial Ministries of Health and Advanced Education can explore opportunities for coordinated planning and joint initiatives in the area of health human resources.”

I’m happy to announce the launch of Auld Country Tours website!

The Dream
James Johnson – now Owner and Tour Director of Auld Country Tours – has been leading tour groups to Europe since 2007. Together with his wife Kim, they decided to launch out, follow their dreams and establish Auld Country Tours Inc. – a premier touring company – destination: United Kingdom. With tours already booked, the website was put on high priority.

This week I was contacted by a business owner who wanted me to make their Joomla website template responsive. I took one look at the code to realize that it had been made with Artisteer. What gave it away? Code-bloat… and the fact that the original creator had used his name in the CSS tags.
And then today, a question was raised on Linkedin… “Who uses Artisteer to build templates?” The responses have been interesting to say the least, and prompted this post.
“… Web design automation product blah blah blah…”

The Artisteer website boasts the following:
“With Artisteer YOU immediately become a Web design expert, editing and slicing graphics, coding XHTML and CSS, and creating Web Design Templates, Joomla templates, Drupal themes, WordPress themes, DotNetNuke skins, and Blogger templates all in minutes, without Photoshop or Dreamweaver, and no technical skills.”

I was surfing through JenTekk old site design folders and came upon the original site design – from back in 2001, and several others that followed.
They were experiments in color and style, but mostly reflected the fact that I really was still trying to find my own identity and my own personal website design style.
I will post them from the earliest to the latest, its been quite the journey. Enjoy!

I’m happy to announce today’s launch of TAZZU Business Networking Community.

Today was indeed a big day, and yet very possibly only the beginning of better things to come.
TAZZU a pet project of JenTekk Web Solutions was originally founded back in 2006. In 2010 an unfortunate turn of events took TAZZU offline and left the Members looking for alternative ways to network.
