GiveMeaning - giving support and hope
Last spring I blogged about a young boy named Tagg: Saving Mom - a 10 year old’s mission - who contacted me to assist him with raising funds to help his mom (Honnor) who is suffering accutely with rheumatoid arthritis. I quickly created a paypal donations webpage for them.
Tagg notified all his friends and family. I put the word out to ‘my people’… many who empathized and blogged about Taggs plight… thank you to each one!
Together we were able to raise over $3,000.00. However, eventually donations came to a stand still - that was until I’d heard about GiveMeaning.
GiveMeaning is a online fundraising site - emphasizing creative fundraising ideas and other unique forms of charity donations - all for FREE!
After checking them out, I quickly decided this may be the channel to raise funds for Tagg’s cause.
I signed up and volunteered to be the founder for: Saving Mom - Taggs Plea
Part of the fundraising process is to submit a proposal which I did happily. Next a total of 100 votes was required to move the proposal to a live donations accepting project.
Generously, each proposal is given 1 month to gather these votes to show there is adequate support. To say there was adequate support for Taggs Pea is an understatement. The speed in which the votes came in was neckbreaking!
In less than 24 hours Tagg’s plea had received over 100 votes! Even the people at GiveMeaning were amazed at how quickly the votes came in. The project went live within 48 hours of submitting the proposal.
Now, with Taggs Plea being live, the donations are also coming in. We are hoping to raise $22,000 to cover the cost of Honnors treatment at Sanoviv Medical Institute in Mexico - known for their many medical successes.
Great news… 25% has already been raised! For the first time in a while both Tagg and his Mom are feeling hopeful.
If Taggs Plea touches your heart, I’d like to invite you to donate if you are able, any amount will help.
Thank you GiveMeaning.! You giving meaning, support and hope to those who need it!

Jen - you are an amazing girl. You never slow down in your efforts to help people in whatever way you can, wholeheartedly. I know personally how busy you are and how many things you do for others without a consideration of cost. I think it was a total God-send that you have connected with GiveMeaning - a group who clearly cares the way you do. Together, how much more effective this will be eh? ‘Two are better than one…’ xo

Thanks Erin!
GiveMeaning provides a fabulous service for people who wish to raise funds for a worthwhile cause. Tagg’s desire to see his mom healed from R.A. is definitely that!
A great big thank you goes out to everyone who voted to show there was adequate support, and to all who were able to donate. Together we are making a big difference.
